drum scans
We offer drum scans using an Aztek Premier scanner which allows scans up to an optical 8000 dpi, and enables us to scan all film formats up to 8x10. We use the latest software for the scanner which allows hardware correction prior to making the scan to always get an optimal scan exposure, pulling out details that other scanners can’t!
We’re working at the forefront of technology using high res medium format digital cameras and industrial macro lenses to photograph artwork and film. While digital capture of film is relatively new, it offers similar quality to drum scans while being a bit more “photographic” in feel. We’re happy to discuss the pros and cons of each capture type!
